Powerballs

A yummy pretty healthy snack and fun for kids to help make! A different take on no bake cookies. I found these out of a magazine (WonderTime) that a friend sent me! (Thank you Sherri-Lynn!) A great little protein sweet treat for any time of the day.

Ingredients:

1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Honey
3 cups Oats
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1 cup combo of nuts and dried fruit (my fav is 1/2 cup chopped peanuts and 1/2 cup dried cranberries (or raisins or combo of raisins and dried cranberries)

Mix peanut butter and honey until smooth. Gradually add in oats and flaxseed. Add in rest of the ingredients and mix gently with hands. Roll into ping-pong size balls (I like to do variety of sizes) and put on cookie sheet. Stick them in the fridge or freezer until firm and then keep in ziploc or tupperware. Store in fridge or freezer.

AppleJack Festival

We went to an apple festival Sunday after church. Funny thing, I don't even have one picture of an apple tree or an apple for that matter! We had some yummy apple pie and enjoyed some of the kids activities - Kayla was not to excited about the pony ride but she survived! :)

Kayla loved the animals, especially the baby goats. For a small amount of money you could buy all 3 babies and the mommy! I was tempted for a minute....or two! They were so cute!

I LOVE this picture and I'm SO sad that a dumb car and some random people are in the background.....grr.....

September Variety

Some outside fun with the kiddos.

Not sure if you can tell but the first pic of the trees is Kayla looking up in the tree - can you see who she see's? Yes, Micah has this obsession with climbing trees........is it a boy thing? Ethan does NOT need any further encouragement to injure himself!

So, Kayla hasn't been napping for awhile but she still has quiet time in her room for at least 1 hour. So, these pics were taken on different days. The first is her "friends" going down the slide and then the next day they were having a picnic.

Kayla is loving gymnastics! She has gone 3 times now and loves it more and more. The trampoline and rings are her favorite.

Garbage Disposal

I made chicken stir fry tonight for supper and there was a little bit of rice left (like less than 1/8 cup) so I just threw it in the trash because all the chicken/veggie part was gone. So, we were cleaning up the kitchen and not joking we spot Ethan standing in front of the trash can eating the rice out of the trash. I was so horrified that I immediately stopped him but now thinking a picture would have been great. Thought the story was at least worth sharing................We are so proud. (sigh)

Quirky Mini Beachy's

Ethan taking Kayla for a ride on his hot 4 wheels! He's starting to push himself with his feet to move around and thinks it's so fun.

We were playing in the backyard the other night and I emptied the pool and the orange bat had water in it that Kayla was emptying hence all the water on the patio. SO, little Ethan starts sucking water off the pavement - honest we do give him liquids! As gross as it was it was funnier to tape him than stop him. (FYI - the ball he also sucks on had been sitting out in the pool of water for a week with all sorts of gunk on it)

Kayla is starting a tumbling/gymnastics class on Monday. So, I went to a great consignment store to try and find some little tumbling outfits and found this one. I also found these great boots for $3.00 that Kayla and I were excited about but Papa Beachy not so excited about them. She was excited to try it all on and then started doing summersaults.

Preschool

Tuesday Kayla started preschool - how is that possible!!! She was a little nervous but excited. Her friend Raegen is in the same class so that made things easier for her. I have a few pics with her teacher and Raegen that I need to get from my friend Jen. I forgot to take my camera in when I picked her up and that was the best time to get pics. I'm off to a great start! :( Thankfully I had a bible study to get to after I dropped her off otherwise I think I would have teared up! Sappy mom I know!
