Vacation
So, we have some very dear friends Christopher and Mandy that we have known for 11 years. We met in college and have remained so close. Christopher is a physician as well and when the guys were in medical school we went on vacation together and then made a pact that when the guys finish residency we would take a trip together. Well 7 years later here we are and we are making good on our pact. We are heading to Kansas tonight to drop the kids off at my parents and then leave tomorrow for a week on a cruise in southern caribbean with Christopher and Mandy. I am so excited but also feeling guilty for leaving my kiddos. I know they will be fine and that it is good for them to have time away from us but you know......Still lots to do today, anyone else always like to have their house spotless before they leave somewhere - I love it when I get back but wondering if I'm going to get it all done today!!!! Hello sunshine here I come!!!!!

Road Trip
So, the kids and I went on a road trip last week to Des Moines. It was a quick trip but so fun to see a few friends. (I am so sorry for all of those I didn't get to see - I'll catch you next time) The kids had a fun time but were exhausted and slept the whole way back to Omaha. (Yeah, I know not so safe for me to be driving and taking pics but I couldn't refuse) Ethan was asleep before I even pulled out of my friend's driveway and Kayla was asleep within 5 mintues.
Okay, so I'm not going to mention any names of the house I was at since she is a little mortified - I think it's hiliarious (now). The kids were playing in the kids bedrooms and I thought Ethan was in the other room so I checked on him (we were all standing right there) and he was gone. I started yelling for him and he finally came out of the bedroom at the other end of the hall and was waving something around. I ran down and he ran away from me into the bathroom and yes, he had dug toliet paper out of a unflushed toliet and was waving it everywhere. As far as I know he didn't put it in his mouth. It was dripping everywhere over the carpet........I was horrified, disgusted and laughing all at the same time. The situation could have been far worse as you can all imagine! Another one for the story book! :)
